Whilst, most people would agree, there are far worse places to live and grow up in than the Helensburgh & Lomond Area, there remains a nagging feeling that the area is feeling jaded and has reached a point of stagnation. To make matters worse, folks are not entirely sure what they can do to address this situation. Many people want to help and many people have wonderful creative ideas for regeneration but do not know how best to communicate them.

Helensburgh Heroes is a Scottish registered charity that aims to design, deliver and manage leisure and arts facilities that will educate, inform, entertain and above all, inspire future generations to emulate the area’s famous sons and daughters.

There really is no 'us' - this whole concept behind Helensburgh Heroes is to provide a vehicle that can be run and managed by the people of the Helensburgh area for the benefit of the community.

Helensburgh Heroes seeks to enhance the quality of life for all residents, is totally inclusive, is independent of the public sector and political parties, has no self-serving interests and aims to tackle economic, social and environmental issues, in an integrated and sustainable way.

And it needs people to realise its vision.
