Our Vision
TO CELEBRATE THE PAST AND INSPIRE THE FUTURE
Our Vision is simple
We want every member of the community to feel that they are of aware of their worth and that they have a valuable contribution to society to make, and we believe that the use of inspirational men and women with local connections as role models has a major role to play in achieving this.
It was Albert Einstein who famously said “All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded the individual.” and that quote lies at the heart of our vision and what we want to achieve.
Community Identity
We want communities where culture and heritage is valued, respected and celebrated as a major contributor to our personal identity, character and sense of place.
Social Relevance
We want communities where our culture is seen as socially relevant because it connects individuals to their past personally and collectively through its physical, cultural, emotional, intellectual and spiritual aspects.
Continuity and Managed Change
We want communities where our culture and heritage is appreciated as an integral part of our environment because it provides important links to the past and yet provides a reference point for our future.
Enlightenment
We want communities that increase our knowledge of and our interest in, our culture to do so through continual innovation and education.
Inclusion
We want communities where every member has the confidence and skills needed to compete and thrive in today’s world.
