Objects

The Charity’s objects (“charitable object” shall mean a charitable purpose under section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, which is also regarded as a charitable purpose in relation to application of the Taxes Acts):

a) To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Helensburgh and Lomond Area and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.
b) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.
c) To advance the education of the inhabitants of Helensburgh and Lomond Area, and the public at large in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment
d) To promote for the benefit of the public, and the Helensburgh and Lomond area community, the conservation protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment by promoting ecological and biological diversity
e) To advance the education of the Community about its environment, culture and/or history
f) To maintain, improve or provide public amenities:
g) To preserve buildings or sites of historic or architectural importance
h) To establish and maintain a heritage centre/museum and/or art gallery for the benefit of the public and the inhabitants of the Helensburgh and Lomond Area.
i) To promote, and advance the education in the arts, for the benefit of the Community and the public at large by the establishment and maintenance of a heritage centre/museum and/or art gallery
