Our Target

When the Helensburgh Heroes concept was created, it was done so with the following simple objective in mind.

To INSPIRE

Inspiration means many things to many people but if you check a dictionary for a definition, you will find meanings such as: to produce or arouse, to influence or impel, to communicate, to guide, to give rise to, bring about, cause, infuse and breathe life into. All of these accurately describe what we want to achieve in the Helensburgh area with The Heroes, but it will cost.

Of all the challenges that Helensburgh Heroes faces, funding is the priority issue. We start with zero. There are several realistic funding options available to us and we need to explore every one of them. But we would be naïve in the extreme if we believed that funds would magically appear simply because we have some good ideas.

Our major challenge will be raising the necessary capital and operating funds to finance our projects. This will be difficult but not impossible.

The three main projects that we have identified, Walk of Fame, Clyde Street Centre and The Sinclair Street Reservoirs will require several million pounds if they are to be realised, and realised in a professional and economically viable manner.

We are anticipating the following delivery targets for these projects:

Walk Of Fame – Early/Mid 2009
Clyde Street Centre – Early 2012
Sinclair Street Reservoirs – Early 2010

We need all the help that we can get and everyone can play their part.
