Charlotte Reinagle Cooper was born, the youngest of six children, in Ealing, Middlesex, on 22 September 1870, the daughter of Henry Cooper of Caversham, a miller, and his wife, American born Teresa Georgiana, nee Miller.

He has enjoyed a successful amateur golf career at boys, youths and senior level, culminating in his appointment as Captain of the 2007 and 2009 Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup Teams against the United States.
Gordon Dalgleish is the co-founder and president of PerryGolf, an international golf and luxury lifestyle travel firm. Dalgleish, who founded the company in 1984 with his brother, Colin, is based in Wilmington, North Carolina.
